I've used (Remedy) Phytoplex Cleanser No-rinse Foam, but I don't recall if I bought it or brought it home from the hospital. I do recall that it really made me feel clean and refreshed.
I've seen probably more than a dozen brands at the local grocery store, all priced high, but couldn't decide on one. I could probably get the Phytoplex (made by Medline) again if I needed it, if not at a drug store then most likely at a hospital store or an independent medical store within a hospital.
We use Walgreens Rinse Free Shampoo. It's in their medical supply section of the pharmacy. Under $9 for 16 ounces.
Just put a towel on her shoulders, and pour some shampoo on her hair and lather. No water or rinsing needed. You towel the hair dry and it comes out soft, shiny and silky. It's truly a great product, my mom loves it. It smells good and the results are fantastic.
One bottle should last from 6 months to a year or more. (Based on a bed-bound patient who only allows shampooing once a week.)
Ty for review on Walgreens brand. Just tried out my husband’s left over hospital total body no-rinse product. It was foam and hard to get thru all hair. Texture of cleaned hair was awful.

Maybe use sheet suspenders if the pillow will slip off the bed.
Be sure to secure it in a way so Mom cannot be choked...safety first.
You could secure it to the bed with a few hand stitches?

If they have grey hair and it seems to be yellowing / brassy, HASK Charcoal with Citrus dry shampoo works well over time to tone down brass.
