Has anyone worked with Fidelta? I am in Seattle and need in-home care.
I am in need of in-home care for my father. I am exhausted and need a break. I have talked to Fidelta. They are $50.00 an hour. Has anyone on this forum used them? They are based out of the Northwest. Thank you.
I think $50 is steep. For that you probably will only get a CNA. That person will get a fraction of that $50. Is Dad low income, maybe you can get help thru Medicaid? I would call your local Office of Aging. They be able to help you find a cheaper option.
First, and this is not a criticism, just a caution. I checked out "Fidelta"; it's a European corporation. Than I checked Fedelta: bingo.

This one claims to be locally owned and operated. That could make a big difference in its approach, control, standards, and staff.

I realize you want specific experience, but if no one here is able to provide actual experience, I'd try to get as much info as I could online from branching out and checking other sources, such as GlassDoor (reports by workers).
You can also contact your local Ombudsperson and inquire whether there have been any complaints. Medicare used to list inspection issues; I'm not sure if it still does.
You could also ask the company for references; I rather doubt that they'd give any, given privacy concerns. But their response might indicate whether or not they would even be amenable to background questions.
Personally, I think $50/hour is in the realm of greed and exploitation of a vulnerable population.
