Try to find out if your wife is afraid of the shower; is she afraid of slipping? Shower/water shoes can help a lot (on Amazon). If falling concerns her, buy a shower chair and a grab bar to install in the shower. Anti slip rug or flowers for the bottom of the shower work well too.
