Why is there no place for my adult daughter with disabilities to live? She’s 52 years old and I’m looking for a place.

I agree that our Country needs more housing for those with disabilities that fall between the cracks because of age. My nephew gets about $1100 a month. This does not pay for an apartment. He gets help thru the state and pays about 30% of the cost of an apartment. He is very good with what is left over.

Your County should have a Disabilities dept. Ours in now combined with Office of Aging. Some places have group homes.

Not all Assisted Living communities restrict to 55 and older.
Does your daughter have a Case Worker or Social Worker that is involved? If so you could begin there and ask about Group Homes that might work for her.
You do not give the state you live in, that might be helpful.
You also do not give much information as to what type of disability she has, what type of help she would need.
