Question about adult disposable briefs (ADBs)... Will a tabbed ADB work better?

Mom's just not getting the hang of pulling up the Depends... she has not worn underwear for 20 years. Anyway, so when I tell her to pull it up, she tugs at her slippers or her housecoat and I end up pulling up the adb. Is she not seeing the adb? Who knows... anyway, will a tabbed adb work better? Also, mom is heavy, rigid and stiff and always nervous about falling, so putting on the adb is a nightmare. I try to put it on after she lies down but she's still heavy and her legs become stiff. How do I get past this stiffness?

Mom barely walks and I had posted here about her legs swelling, etc.

Btw, both mom and I don't care about calling it diapers... we are past the stage of dignity etc... it's just survival day to day and me not getting a migraine
