Andreas8, the vast majority of grown children who are caring for a parent do not get paid..... unless that parent can pay from their own savings.

I see you tried to get payment for care in North Carolina but was denied, yet you had received such payment in New Jersey. Please note that each State has their own rules, regulations, and benefits.

Only thing I would suggest is for your to contact your County council on Aging to see what is available. Maybe you can get an Aide to come in a few hours per week to give you a break.
