I have eye surgery on June 30th. I have Medicaid and their transportation, but I need someone with me. Suggestions?

Are you having caratact surgery? There is a lot to keep track of with the post-op meds...

If you can't find a friend or neighbor, contact a church (preferably a mid-sized one, even one you don't belong to) and ask if they have an Elder Care ministry. They can get you a volunteer to help. My church has done this many times. Or contact your local area's Agency on Aging for resources.

A friend, a loved one, a relative, a grandchild, a neighbor, a paid caregiver, etc.

Obviously a family member, or a close neighbor or friend. You DO need someone with you for the day, depending on your surgery.

I have taken friends to many dr visits, colonoscopies, MRI's--whatever, when they required a 'driver' to take them home and someone to be with them for a few hours.

Just a note: Be sure you fill ALL the prescriptions beforehand. You will need pain meds and eyedrops which you should get scrips for prior to the surgery. My son had LASIK and even tho he was adult, he didn't get any of the pot op stuff. I had to run out and get it and actually take care of him, as he was a little (26 yo) stinker about post op care.
