My elderly mom had a stroke and went from no response to two full days of talking and then back to no response. Is this common? She is 81.

The first few days she didn’t open her eyes. After about a week she started talking in full sentences. We had another day of no response and now it’s no talking and very little eye contact. She seems very agitated too. Would love to know what others have experienced with their elderly parents.

We checked and no she didn’t. Good question though - thanks for thinking of that. They have been doing CT’s here and there to check. We thought she might have a UTI too and that was negative. Last time she had one she was out of it too.

Just so weird to be there and then not. :( We’re pretty bummed.

It’s possible that she had another stroke, causing the relapse. Can you get this checked?
