I am a NRCMA trying to care for my dad and get paid while gaining work experience. Any advice on how I can get paid?

If Dad fits the Medicaid criteria you may get paid thru them. But it will not be f/t or pay much.

In PA there are agencies that will train and hire you and then allow you to care for Dad. See if your State does this.

Office of Aging usually only helps those that can't afford care. I think the supply aids they don't pay family.

Most adult children who are caregiving for their parents are paid from their parents' money. Check with the Area Agency on Aging to see if they know of any local funding available. I don't know if your certification as a Medical Assistant will make any difference.
