drfranpsyd, you can call a caregiving Agency as they have employees who will work on last minute emergency caring, the fee will be higher. The caregiver is for your wife while you are on the mend, correct? Or an extra pair of hands to help her help you?

As Gladimhere had mentioned, the hospital discharge coordinator should hand you list of caregiving agencies.

Check with discharge planner to request help. Make sure that they know you do not have help arranged after discharge.I

There sure seems to be many requests for caregivers lately. Makes me suspicious.
