Rollator tray. Any advice?

A family member uses a rollator (not a walker) in her Assisted Living. She would like to have a tray attached. Has anyone ever found such a product or made a modification? Can't find anything online :-(

I bought this rollator for in the house. (I have an all terrain Trionic Veloped for outdoors.) I wanted something with a tray to be my assistant when cooking since trying to unload dinner items from the fridge and spices, one at a time, using my cane with the other hand, made me not want to fix dinner at all. The tray fits securely into the basket and I also use this to deposit our finished laundry to their various locations. Check width of doors however against the width of this rollator. It fits through all our doors except the bathroom doors. I can finagle it through at an angle. Our house is 60 years old and I guess that they made bathroom doors smaller back then. Ironically, it fits through the closet door in the back bedroom. The brakes on this are a joke but I’m still happy with it for how it suits my needs inside the house. You can roll the tray to you to eat if you want. I tend to put my dinner plate on the tray and then take the tray off and put it on my lap. My husband and I like to eat dinner while watching PBS in the evening.

You can copy and paste the URL above. It’s the Trust Indoor Let’s Go Rollator by Stander. Another way to look it up. It’s sold on Amazon and on a variety of sites so just find the best price.

clueless1: Perchance you may want to google 'baskets for Rollators,' as a tray is prone to tipping/spillage.

I wasn’t aware of these trays. My mom would place snacks on top of her seat to roll back to her room.

I just looked at the trays on Amazon. They look nice and have a variety of them.

Good luck in finding a suitable tray for the walker.

I used zip ties and a hot glue gun to semi-permanently mount a wicker basket between the front support bars on my wife's rollator as well as her fold-up walker taken in the car.
If she needed a tray from some strange reason I'd simply fashion one (made or bought) in the same location using hose clamps on the front support bars.

I like this one

Note the one tray just sits on the seat so easy to knock off. The other is more secure. I put in search "tray for rollator walker" and got a lot of hits. Are the ones she is talking about regular walkers?

Most people just place a tray or the items on the seat as a temporary carrying surface or use a pouch or basket, and I know there are cup holders - what are they wanting to carry?

That’s what my grandma did. She’d put her tray in the seat and wheel it to her recliner.

Look it up by brand online and you should see attachment available. You have some other good suggestions here as well.

How about a basket?

A tray seems impractical as things would fall over or off if you went over a bump.

The tray is basically for eating. The person can use it as a table. So the person fixes themselves lunch and takes it back to another room to watch TV. Go to a buffet and use it to carry back their food to a table. They have a cup holder in the tray. The disadvantage is the walker cannot be folded.
