Apart from working with the facility to make sure she goes to the dining room for most of her meals you may need to limit her access to so much unhealthy snack foods... is she doing her own shopping?
Maybe it's time to have a discussion with the admins of the facility to see what they suggest. Some AL's have "a la carte" services that a resident can pay extra for... maybe in her case it is meal oversight? Or, maybe they will recommend MC at this point. She won't be able to eat like that in that wing of the facility. I would do whatever they suggest.
She lives in assisted-living and doesn’t want to go down to the dining room to eat healthy. She snacks on the wrong foods and always throws up after she eats. She’s had Gastro bypass surgery five years ago, but is now down to 98 pounds. I’m sure she has dementia and forgets when she eats and what she eats.
