Difference in overnite disposable pads vs heavy absorbency pads.
What is the difference between the two? My mom needs the heaviest pad that's out there. Currently using super absorbency pads but thinking maybe overnite may be better.
what we've been doing is using a pull up disposable brief with either an overnight maximum absorbancy or "ultimate" absorbancy pad inside of it for double protection. At night, she prefers to sleep on her lift chair (even though we have an adjustable hospital type bed for her in her bedroom), so we use a washable bed pad (the type that you tuck the ends under on each side of a bed mattress) with a washable square bed pad over that on the seat part. Then we use a disposable bed pad over that. She then sits on that with her fresh Depends pull on underpants that I insert a disposable urine pad within... It sounds like overkill, but in my Mom's case, it's actually just the right protection as she has basically no bladder control and has mobility issues as well. It works wonderfully for her, and we get rewards coupons alot at the drugstores I get these pads at... and often get them at a great bargain.. especially the value packs.
Seems like a common problem! no matter what briefs, plus extra padding, still wets bed every night. refuses to get up after gone to bed in order to go bathroom. Yells at me that he’s doesn’t need to go. I'm at wits end trying find solution.
abri-form was a good overnight diaper. But the overnight ones are more expensive.. snd think it’s better if you csn get her to use the portable commode than keeping her in a diaper.. honestly… if they can walk, get them up to go.. Change it up from pads ti day dispersal to nighttime ones.. mu sunt was immobile . It broke my heart when facility said she had a sever diaper rash.. the diaper cut into her skin.. try different absiranbcy and brands and pads Good luck
No pad will contain as much as a pull up or brief (tab style product), for maximum absorbency I'd opt for briefs at night - and make sure you have several washable mattress available pads too. During the day a pull up product will hold more urine simply because it can better contain the overflow. And regular bathroom breaks - even if she doesn't think she has to go - can help to cut down on the volume.
I think the absorbent padding in overnight ones goes higher up the front and back, better designed for when someone is lying down. I had my mom in ‘overnight’ ones which held 4 cups (which the manufactuer said were ok for day and night), but am switching her to their ultimate briefs which hold 5 cups, that the manufactuer say can be used for day and night. Wish there was some massive chart somewhere that made comparing easier!

That seems to work the best for her for bed
And CVS does seem to be the best

I have found these to be the absolute best, but they are not cheap.
However, they are a little less expensive on Amazon.

Then use Medline Ultrasorbs underneath moms body to absorb any leakage.
