Can Medicaid cover more than 20 hours of caregiver assistance per week?

I know different states have different answers, but how many hours per week does Medicaid offer home health care to someone that is bedridden and basically needs someone with them 24 hour a day? As a caregiver for my client the family only gets 20 hours week and they all have to put forth their time which affects their jobs. Easy to say “put mom in a nursing home" yet they want their mother at home. She suffered a virus which put her in the situation she in. Recovery is slow yet achievable. Can they receive more than 20 hours of caregiver assistance per week?

My wife has an assigned Medicaid case manager that I call when I have questions about her home provided services or the need for more hours. We are currently getting support for 20 hours a week with an additional allotment each month of a few hours for me to use for my medical needs.

You or the family really need to contact the local social services office to find out.
