Not sure I’m using the correct language, bottom line my mom and I have a joint bank account. This account was made about 6 years before my mom got sick. Currently she’s sick and on hospice she cannot make decisions but now my siblings are trying to tell me I can’t redo a floor in my mom’s house using “her income” they do not know that we have had a joint account since long before and now are threatening to audit my mom’s income is how they worded it if I do decide to do the floors. Is this legal? Not only am I joint on her only bank account, but about 3 years ago she also made me her DPOA. I think it’s ridiculous they are worried about a floor when my mom is on her death bed no none of us get along and there Def is sibling rivalry I just don’t feel like being bullied by them.

I am trying to stop my mom from spending money
Who is Executor of Mom Will? Your POA stops at death. The Executor can ask for an accting of Moms money so I hope you kept good records. If your the Executor, the beneficaries can request an accting. Usually, with a Will an accting is done anyway.

Your mother is on hospice. not able to make any decisions about anything at this time and you are asking us about floors?
Are the floors a top priority for you right now? Yeah, I think if I were one of your siblings I would wonder about what was going on too.
And it sounds like you had better be prepared for the $hit to hit the fan when the estate is settled, they will definitely demand an accounting then.
