Hi Fldotspot - did you ask your husband why the recent worry that you'll hurt yourself? It seems he's the best person to ask !!

My husband is the same way. He is 74 and I am 56 and he is always worried about me getting hurt. He is the accident prone one.

The elderly get crushing anxiety a lot, especially if he has dementia.

I would guess that if you got hurt, he would worry about being able to take care of you, and taking care of himself.
