Contact your husband's Doctor. He/She can write a prescription for a Hospital Bed, and turn it into his insurance to get authorization. You can rent one from a medical supply company this way. We wound up paying around $15.00 a month this way for my Mom's. Delivery was free, and it included a mattress. It will be semi-electric, with a remote control for the patient to move up the head/legs, and will also have a crank at the end if you need to raise or lower the bed.
