In addition to the information provided by Geaton777 If mom is a Veteran the VA may pay for you to care for the Veteran. If mom was married to a person that Served (and has not remarried) she may qualify for Aid and Attendance (this is "means based" so she may not qualify if she has funds)...but if she has funds she can pay you. And there may be programs in your community that will pay you if she qualifies for any programs they have
