My wife says she keeps seeing fish?

Grandma1954 Jan 7, 2024
As other have said a little more info...maybe a lot more info would be helpful

As to seeing fish..I see a pollywog. It is a "floater" in my right eye. It is not there all the time but it will appear on occasion. I also see gnats or fruit flies, again floaters. So if that is the cause of your wife's "fish" there is nothing to worry about.
On the other hand if the "fish" are hallucinations this needs to be discussed with the doctor.

Halloffame14, this is your second question where you don't give us much to go on, other than in your profile where it says your young wife(66) has Alzheimer's.
I would suggest that you start educating yourself about this horrific disease, so you can be better prepared for what lies ahead for you and your wife, and also better understand now what she's going through.
The book The 36 Hour Day is a great place to start, and Teepa Snow(a dementia expert)has many great videos on YouTube along with several great books as well.
Hallucinations are quite common with many of the dementias, but they're also common with a UTI, so please have her checked for that. Her doctor can prescribe different medications if her hallucinations are related to her dementia.
Again knowledge is key here, so make sure you're doing your homework and finding out all you can, Because if your wife has early onset Alzheimer's this can go on for 20+ years, and you need to be prepared.
Best wishes.
