My husband has dementia. He has been able to get around on his own, but yesterday he became unable to walk.

It is a weekend, so we cannot get in touch with any of his doctors. Should I take him to the emergency room?

Call 911, tell them you think he may have had a stroke.

In your profile you say that your husband has already had a previous stroke and this very well could be another one. Please call 911 and have him taken to the hospital to be checked out ASAP. This is nothing to mess around with.

Yes, definitely. You should call EMS. Do not attempt to take him in yourself. You cannot afford to be religated to waiting room. This could be a stroke.

Yes I would . I usually order a LYFT and when you get to the ER tell them " he is elderly and has dementia and can't walk . " make sure you Immediately get a wheel chair on arrival and have the LYFT Guy or Nurse help Him Into a wheel chair . Have some change for soda and snacks . Stay warm and ask for a blanket . They probably will have to admit him for tests .

Is this just the regular Lyft service? Or do you have a special Lyft concierge program to get this extra help from the driver ?

Yes. He may have had a medical event that needs treatment
