Where would I look to become a caregiver for a private client, anyone know?

Get your CNA license. Network with estate attorneys.

One thing you can do that will help yourself if you are not a Certified CNA you might want to take the course.
If you are not trained in CPR and basic First Aid do that.

I would consider registering with a caregiving agency to start with. As you move along in caregiving you will learn from others where they are posting availability in your area. Be ready to submit references and experience.
You might consider registering with care.com. Don't know much about the site, myself. But worth exploring.
You might consider getting a good job history resume together by application to local care facilities in your area as well.
Sometimes community centers, Faith based facilities have bulletin boards.
