My brother had Lewy's diagnosed by his symptoms. One of them was NOT tremor. Often I see people diagnosed with Parkinson's with tremor. I have not noted it with Lewy's overmuch? I do see the foot tapping thing, the swallow deficits. The hallucinations. The poor balance. He had really all of those. The hallucinations with Lewy's are quite unique, quite detailed, very dream like but unlike dreams they often can remember details. And of course they occur when awake.
Thank you for that information. Did your brother have delusions? My mother's first symptoms 6 years ago were detailed hallucinations, then delusions. She confused dreams with reality. Her short term memory is just now starting to get poor. She can still read and write. She can have conversations. She rubs her feet together constantly. I don't know if that's like foot tapping. Big time anger nowadays. Apathy too. She says some of the things she sees are like little cartoon towns and parades and nativity scenes. Some are people having meetings in her kitchen, or faces peeking in closed window blinds.

Mom didn’t get dementia until much later in her life.
