If you are a disabled veteran (83 yrs of age) living in AZ, what care options are available for in-home care?

It will matter if its a service related disability. Did he/she serve during wartime? That could mean getting help thru the VA for Aid and Attendance. Make sure you have his military discharge when you make the call.

VA has a couple of programs like Veteran-directed care where you're given a monthly sum to pay for what you need. And they will cover home health agencies of their choosing. If you haven't already, contact the Social Work office at any of these locations:
Northwest VA Clinic 623-251-2884
Phoenix VA Clinic 602-248-6040
Show Low VA Clinic  928-532-1069
Southwest VA Clinic  623-772-4000
Staff Sergeant Alexander W. Conrad Veterans Affairs Health Care Clinic
480-397-2800

Jaycee, contact the Maricopa County Counsel on aging and the VA. Both of these can help you with the resources available in Queen Creek.

Please check with the VA in your area.
As a disabled vet, your loved one will have access to information through his own case manager or advisor I do believe.
Call the VA and ask for an advisor.

They should have social workers who can answer questions for your vet. This is so dependent on so many things (including when, where and how your vet served, and whether in time of war or not) and it isn't something you can afford to take the word of a bunch of strangers on a forum about. You need the best information. That means going to the source.

It might be helpful also to go up to the blue agingcare timeline on this page, the line at the top of the page, and then go to topics and look up "veteran's benefits". Next go to the search magnifying glass and type in "veteran's benefits" and you will see posted a whole bunch of questions about vets. You may be able to get good info from these questions as well.

I sure do wish you best luck.
