I would check with your own Medicaid laws for NC if this is the entity you are dependent on for pay. We are caregivers from around the world. You will find, in this new world of attempting to care for a loved one with a new stroke, that you will be doing a lot of research. On another question you have told us that your mother is currently in "nursing home". I don't know if she is receiving rehab or not. I would contact admin and ask for social services help and advice.
