Dementia sucks! That's a fact, and far too many people are having to deal with it with their loved one(s).
Just be there for your mom and don't leave anything unsaid.
It is time for family to discuss with the MDs whether it is time for comfort care and a recognition that the end of life is approaching. I am sorry, but this has been a long life, and there is little to be gained in making the end of it more painful than it must be.

Sleeping is normal, I think of it as a way to rest her brain which is always struggling to make sense out this dementia life .
Her brain is lost and her body is in pain , if laying around is what she wants to do its ok
We work hard all are life maybe it's time she just doesn't want to work anymore.
Any ? You have let us know, your not alone in this. Many here have or will be where you are.
Best of luck
I'm sorry about your Mom's dementia and the stress and sadness this is probably causing you. You've come to the right place for support, many of have traveled this road with LOs.
Do you have a question or something specific you need guidance with?
The aids "don't mind" because your Mom's repetition is a common dementia behavior. Has she been checked for a UTI? Sleeping and laying around could be signs of physical decline/pain, depression, or just being ready to check out.
Is she in hospice care? If not, maybe it is time?
