Is there a way to manage my hearing impaired mother (with dementia) remote control for her tv from an app on my phone? She can’t hear phone.

I have an old iPhone 6S. There is an option that causes the phone to flash brightly when the phone rings. That way, even if the sound is low, or the ringer turned off, I can easily see a call coming in.

Yes, there is. I found your answer on Reddit in the r/homeautomation group posted by user handle r/aucupabundus. "Control tv Away from home"
I'll keep trying to figure out how to copy the link. But you can search for it with the above parameters.

We installed Alexa and connected TV Bluetooth to that so she only had to say "Alexa find ..." and at times if that was a problem we had a Connected one in our home so hers and mine were in the same system so I could look in on her and help control her TV from there..

agingmother4343: Perhaps her audiologist can assist her.

More information is needed, e.g. do you live with her for connectivity from your phone to her television?

This I don't know but the ringing of the phone I maybe able to help. I have an old landline phone that lights up when it rings. The volume is very high and has boost button for even higher. It came with a cordless phone I have in my Den. It too lights up when there is a call.

There are hearing aids with Bluetooth that can connect to devicrs like a phone. That is if she still wears and cares for hearing aids
