There are many organizations that provide help for a variety of "special needs" there are organizations for the Visually Impaired, Hearing Impaired, Dementia, Autism and on and on. Maybe your best bet would be to locate the organization that focus on the particular need that is affecting the young adult. That organization may know of a Group Home that would be in the area where this person lives.
