Does anyone know where we might find a used, but decent hospital bed for a dear friend that is in need? Preferably at no cost or minimum cost.
Hospital Bed needed greatly that is used but clean and preferably of no cost due to financial situation or minimum cost…needed now!!! Kindest Appreciation,
This friend who is in need of a hospital bed? Is this a temporary need? If so, these can be rented from medical equipment sites.
If this is a permanent need and this friend is not going to make it through her illness, then Hospice does provide hospital beds and much other equipment.
We occasionally see people on this site looking to give away a hospital bed, but the likelihood they are in your area, and your needs would meld, is almost nil.
I would call your local council on aging to see if they can give you pointers in the right direction.
This is a global forum and not a commerce site, however I suggest you join your local Nextdoor.com and put in a ISO (in search of) request for the kind of hospital bed you need. Often people will let you have it for free if you're willing to move it with your own manpower.
You can also look on your local Craigslist.org or call a local charity to see if they have any to donate.
Also call your local Area Agency on Aging for other bed resources.
