Find Care & Housing
I have been trying to help with my Mothers' Care from Local Authority; Social Work and agency worker support, together with NHS doctors and hospitalisation admission. Making attempts through the standard Age UK and other similar type organisations and still not getting the support expected. My only progressive course of action was to approach; The Care Quality Commission website. After informing them of my misgivings they offered by return, links to the Local Government Ombudsman (LGO), together with other similar contact links dependant on type of complaint. For example they will deal directly with Care Agency offices and, separate NHS complaint section (which I have misplaced at present). As I have only recently (last week) been able to submit my online form to the LGO about overall poor care quality administration of a Local Authority. They informed me that I would now need to wait an additional 5 weeks to see if they can investigate and be able to take matters further. So Karol, be ready for a bit of an arduous roller-coaster of a journey.
Be prepared also, to conform precisely with what the LGO website details. In that each, if Local Authority; for example, have their own procedures for complaints and, must be adhered to precisely, prior to unlawful evidential approach, in conformance with LGO protocol.

As a footnote, all of the above only became eventually evident after my attempts to contact the council and others directly, with either; referrals, deference and or other Justifiable tick-box attitudes being practiced by Non-Government Organisations (NGO's). Where it is in the best interest of the subject to go right to the top, since time is what they all want to waste, which is exactly what my Mother is running out of.

So God Bless and Happy Hunting!...If you need a shoulder I will be here for you and, whoever you Love so much as to make the best effort to preserve a bit longer.

Kindest Regards.

Charlie.

My grandmother is a world class complainer that complains about everything. How "poor" she is (not true), about her kidney damage (her fault) and worried about everything. Normally my family either ignores it or tells her to quit the whining and find something intelligent to talk about. If she can't find something else to talk about like what books she is reading, sports or what TV shows she is watching, silence is better. We don't tolerate her talking politics or what she is watching on Fox News. She also loves stirring up all kinds of crap and always tries to get the whole household going and upset. But we just tell her to go elsewhere with the whining and complaining. No she doesn't live with us.
