Are social services above POA? We don't want them coming anymore, they're happy mum is happy living with me and not been for two months now. Can they come when they want? We now have POA, so can they go above us if they want?
Well no ss been or rang now for nearly 4 months next week I got mixed up time flys so quick....still no call or visit from my bro ...never mind mum's well looked after my sis is here a lot she's bril helping me with mum .everything is ok at mo
It's bad that ss want mum to out to meet him...I have always said come see her at home .but he won't He doesn't like me so that's why .....he's cross cos I reported him for stealing all her money .....It's so sad he won't come see her cos of me .....can I ask for a diff social worker . She asked me to be transparent. But then lied to me about talking to my CPN .. And ..long story really Mum lived else where had a really bad S Worker .she told me she would not discuss anything with him . Then did ....So can I ask for a different S Worker ????
I'm so glad the jerks that previously took care of hubby gram stay away they stole 50,000 her furniture,tv's,bedsets, hutches, antiques, whatever they could smh it's a crying shame
Lied about what? And no normal person with her best interests at heart would want her to travel alone so yes mane b suspicious but keep offer I g for him to come to moms home to visit with her failing health and all. If he says no screw him take her keys and keep do I g a good job take g care of her
I understand the doctor but ss no When they first came I was told to be transparent...good yes but my mum's s worker as lied to me twice . Can I ask for another s worker as i have lost all trust in this one
Well all is well but i have a bad btother who has stolen her money and . Insists she goes out to meet him he won't visit at home ...and I think it's strange that as try to get mum out to meet him ..because he won't visit her at her home even though she as Alzheimer's very poor eye sight with glocoma and arthritas in her lower back and in a lot of pain ....I find it terrible that ss are thinking not of mum's welfare but of this man who as not seen his mum for almost a year ....there happy mum is well looked after and safe
Yes. Social services can come anytime if they have reason to believe mom is abused, neglected, or even if they suspect she is self-neglecting.
Having POA does not supersede any social services, doctor intervention rights to check on and verify an individual is safe, healthy and managing.
If you have nothing to hide and mom is doing well then allow their visit and honestly answer questions and address their concerns. They will eventually close the case. They have bigger fish to fry.
If they have suspicion or have had a report from someone, Athena they will continue to do their job and investigate.
