Selling inherited property didn't know was coming. Will be paying things off. Back to qualifying in a few days. How do I handle this? Clueless, thanks for any help

Lump sums are treated as assets. You need to use that money for your needs (spend down) till you are under the limit (usually about $2k).

As far as I know Medicaid is set up on a monthly basis and either you would be disqualified for the whole month or not at all. Why do you think only a week would be affected? Did you check with the Medicaid agency or just figure out you would have this money and spend it all in a week and thus only be disqualified for that short time?You are dealing with a lump sum and the rules are somewhat different than other types of income. See if that makes a difference in your plans.

Dear pujol70,

Because its only for one week, I don't know if you just want to let it be for that short period of time. Or try to find an insurance company that will bridge the gap. I would call Medicaid back and see what suggestions they could offer.
