My mother was diagnosed with Lewy Body Disorder last year.

My significant other and I (Gary) are currently full-time caregivers for both of my parents. No help from my siblings. I am responsible for all of my parents' affairs; Gary helps with everything else. This responsibility is very exhausting and time consuming for both of us. I did choose a reputable home care agency in which the caregivers are insured/bonded and CPR certified. Both of my parents are somewhat mobile and alert. My father is mostly self-sufficient. However, my mother needs assistance with toileting, incontinence, dressing, and memory issues.

That is exactly what I do, worry when I leave her with a companion(not a CNA). You may never get over that feeling. It takes a few times just to relax a little while you are out.
And the companions , so far, take care of whatever comes up. Including toileting.
It may help to leave written instructions and phone numbers to be called should the need arise.
I still only relax about 30% but I do get to really do the shopping. Cell phone around my neck and on vibrate when necessary.
Good Luck in the future.
