It is your sole responsibility to select the appropriate care for yourself or your loved one. We work with both you and the Participating Communities in your search. We do not permit our Advisors to have an ownership interest in Participating Communities.
II. How We Are Paid. We do not charge you any fee – we are paid by the Participating Communities. Some Participating Communities pay us a percentage of the first month's standard rate for the rent and care services you select. We invoice these fees after the senior moves in.
III. When We Tour. APFM tours certain Participating Communities in Washington (typically more in metropolitan areas than in rural areas.) During the 12 month period prior to December 31, 2017, we toured 86.2% of Participating Communities with capacity for 20 or more residents.
IV. No Obligation or Commitment. You have no obligation to use or to continue to use our services. Because you pay no fee to us, you will never need to ask for a refund.
V. Complaints. Please contact our Family Feedback Line at (866) 584-7340 or ConsumerFeedback@aplaceformom.com to report any complaint. Consumers have many avenues to address a dispute with any referral service company, including the right to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office at: Consumer Protection Division, 800 5th Avenue, Ste. 2000, Seattle, 98104 or 800-551-4636.
VI. No Waiver of Your Rights. If you know your mother's ss #, perhaps the SSA office can tell you where they're sending her ss check. I don't know if they would tell you though, but it's worth a try.
You can also try searching online to see if her name comes up somewhere. If you can spare some money, then hire a private investigator to look for her.
So sorry this happened. It does sound very strange that no one knows her whereabout.

We really need more information. Here are some questions for you to help us with.
Was your Mother living on her own? If yes, would it be possible that a neighbor had called Adult Protective Services? Or if your Mother was outside wandering and couldn't give any information to whomever found her?
Was your Mother living with you? And you had stepped away from the house? How long were you gone?
First stop posting more questions. Post everything in ONE question and add to the thread as needed. I am glad that you posted now that you understand she is in a nursing home. Before you said she was missing when you returned from vacation.
You now tell us she is missing since November of 2021. And you are posting repeated questions on the site one after another with little snippets of information added to each one.
I am afraid that right now you are not coherent enough to get a question out to us, and I can't understand why. I would contact the police in your area with your question if no one, including her sisters, know where your Mother is. It is sounding to me as tho this information may be being kept from you and I cannot know why.
I wonder if you can tell us more. You posted this under dementia. Is your mother suffering from dementia and living alone, and now missing from her home?
If the above is the case you need to contact the police and report your Mom missing at once.

I totally agree about contacting the police asap. That was my first thought. I believe they have a process for filing what's called a "Missing Person" Report or some such thing.

When did Mom go to a NH, someone mentioned it was in 2021?
Who placed her there, another family member or the State?
You can also try searching online to see if her name comes up somewhere.
