And covers 80% of health care and we pay 20%...Now Medicare supplement plans offer coverage for the 20% that Medicare Part A & B doesn't cover for premiums from $120.00 and up.
How can this be a good deal?

Dennis, i think what your saying is, why is the Medicare A/B premium about the same as the Medigap premium, when A/B covers a bigger piece of the bill. The answer is that Medicare is a federal program and is funded in part by the taxes that seniors have in over the years. Medigap plans are funded only by premiums.

Dennis, it seems pretty obvious you haven't done much exploration into the land of insurance costs. Look around and then see if you still feel like complaining.

My brother in law was paying $600 a month under COBRA for health insurance coverage. He considered the $120 a month through a Medicare Advantage Plan a good deal. He switched as soon as he was eligible.

Well, if the bill is $400,000 and A and B cover $320,000, you owe the hospital 80,000. If you don't expect to have an expensive illness ( cancer, open heart surgery, Parkinson's,) you'll be fine. But insurance is about preparing for the unexpected.
