Time for her to be moved to either a skilled nursing or would a care home be able to take her?

Please call Hospice and have the lead RN meet with you. This isn't something you should be guessing about...there's a team involved with your mom's care and they should be helping you with this issue.

What do you mean by 'a care home', if not assisted living or a nursing home?

Is the AL not able to provide a staff member that will feed her? Are they trying to feed her and she is refusing food or are they not trying to feed her?
And why is she having problems eating?
As a person reached End of Life they will eat less, drink less and eventually stop eating and drinking. This is part of the body shutting down, preparing to die. People at end of life do not need the nutrition, the calories that we do to keep the body going. And a person does not feel hunger like you or I do so stopping eating or drinking is not painful or uncomfortable. If the body is shutting down to provide food or fluids can cause pain, discomfort as the body has no way to process what is being introduced.
Please talk to the Hospice Nurse and ask if this is what is happening with your mom.
