Find Care & Housing
Just a thought. I would not hire someone for mornings. Busiest time of the day. Getting residents up and dressed and down for breakfast. Then PT. Before you know it, lunch time. You would be paying someone for sitting around. I don't think facility aides would appreciate an outside aide in their way. They have a routine. Maybe from after lunch till dinner. After that its getting residents settled in for the night.

You can also try a nursing school nearby. Sometimes they need service hours. Visiting Angels they are bonded but they are a bit expensive. Are you or son a member of a church, some churches have committees that assign or have volunteers that will visit and care for a member. Don't be shy just ask the worst that they can say is "no".

There are agencies that you can check and hire but check with the facility first they may have restrictions as to outside hired caregivers. If the person is strictly a companion and will do NO caregiving duties that might be different.
