Tylenol 3's contain codeine, do they not?
I do wonder about the diagnosis, it seems rather strange to sprain the pelvic floor muscles in a fall, although I suppose it may have happened while trying to get him up?

Can't they contact the doc and have him call you?

mopsygirl, most doctors will recommend Tylenol and they will also stress not to take more than a certain amount each day total. I believe Tylenol is most recommended because it plays well with other medicine that a person is taking.

Has hubby been seen by a doctor since the fall? Sounds like he has, but I wasn't sure. Usually a bone fracture can be extremely painful, and I remember only taking Tylenol Extra Strength every few hours. Still didn't really help the pain. The urgent care doctor prescribed some morphine based medicine but after one pill I felt way too loopy so I didn't take any more. The doctor recommended ice packs.

You can take him to an urgent care clinic or the ER, although if there are no broken bones I assume he's already been to either for an x-ray. I assume Tylenol was the only suggested med?

I've had better luck with Motrin than Tylenol, but everyone is different. And if an ER or Urgent Care doctor recommended Tylenol and not Motrin or a prescription drug, I'd be leary about using something else.

Try an Urgent Care Clinic.
