Hi everyone. Been here before. My husband has Alzheimer's. I have been caring for him since diagnosis in2019.My sister's husband has Parkinson's and is now in a nursing home. Someone close to me asked if I thought my sisters situation is worse than mine. I think they are just different circumstances that we deal with on a daily basis out of love. I was taken aback from that question that was asked of me. What do you think?

Its like asking, what's worse? Cancer of the stomach or the liver? Ridiculous.

Maybe the person does not realize that with Parkinsons comes Dementia. A classmates husband got hard to handle the last few months of his life and she had to place him.

I think it is an outrageous question, to be honest. What is one to say to such a thing?
Who in the WORLD would compare such things. Is there somewhere a chart of measurements about the things that can happen to us. Where having a severe stroke gets more points than say being blind????

I would say that I simply have no way to measure what is worse or better for people. WAY out of my job description.
