Find Care & Housing
many types of dementia. and all different in ways. I guess it matters on persons over-all health too. my dad had a strong heart. he was in BAD shape in many other ways. ~terrible alzheimers~ but he kept going - getting older I think due to strong heart. (not emotionally - I mean physically)
I guess you can only know for sure what type of dementia by seeing a dr

my mom geriatric dr just called hers 'alzheimers' because she said it was moving so slowly.

Violarus, I found this article here in Aging Care that would be helpful. It talks about Alzheimer's which is similar to dementia.
