Are you someone who is older than 62? Is your income SS? Contact your county's social services to get on a list for Section 8 housing.

You have posted this under Skilled Nursing Facility.
What kind of care are you requiring?
In order to qualify for care financially and medically you would have to go through Medicaid, and would need to check into Medicaid qualifying facilities.

Where you can live depends on the area you are in, how you can qualify for help, and what assets you have. That's a whole LOT for sure. So you have a lot of research and looking into facilities in your area. Be certain to check out Board and Care facilities if any are available. There is also, in my own city, a program calling HomeMatch that matches up seniors who in one instance may have a home to share, and the other, someone needing to room in the home of another.

Call your local Council on Aging or local Agency on Aging for pointers. Ask friends to take you to nearby senior facilities to check into their programs, also.
Good luck.
