Quit claim deed filed 2014. No information given to MAPP program. Been on MAPP since 2014. If notified will there be a lookback, Wisconsin is 5 years but not sure if applies.

They call this Workability Medicaid where I am. So you handed over your home to someone else before you applied for Medicaid health? Did you place the home on your paperwork at the time?

Why after 10 years are you worried about it now since you renew every year and I think owning property is a question asked. Are you planning on getting in home help or going into Long-term care. If someone else now holds the deed and has for 10 years thats beyond the five years. Medicaid in home and LTC requires different criteria than Medicaid Health insurance.

We really can't answer your question. I would not ask a caseworker if you did a Quick Deed on your home right before the MAPP application. It will look like you were defrauding Medicaid. I may say nothing at this point. Just fill out the application according to how you stand now financially. You could consult with an Elder Lawyer.

When you applied did they ask if you owned your home or if there were any others on the title?

Are you having to reapply to qualify again?

For those unfamiliar with WI's MAPP programs, this, briefly, from the internet:

"The Medicaid Purchase Plan (MAPP) is a subprogram of the Wisconsin Medicaid Program that allows disabled individuals who are working or want to work to become or remain Medicaid eligible, even if employed, due to higher income limits123. MAPP provides health care coverage to people with disabilities who are 18 or older and working2. It has higher income and asset limits than most other Medicaid plans for people with disabilities".

Jan, I wish I could answer your question regarding this program, but I wasn't even aware of it, or what it was or what it does until I looked it up.
I can only suggest you just go right to "the horse's mouth" here and request a counselor on the phone to answer your questions; they are good ones.
Good luck.
