Hi everyone, I'm thinking about senior living for my grandpa, so can you give me your thoughts about happyoldness?

Find Care & Housing
There is absolutely nothing available online about this company other than what they have put out about themselves on their website, Facebook, YouTube and their own media releases.

There is no background information, no recommendations, no reviews.

IMO, that isn't a very good sign.

When it comes to placing someone in a facility, it is generally done locally, where social workers, social services and Hospital case managers have their finger on the pulse of what's going on. The availability is dynamic, everchanging.

Who referred you to that website and why do you think you need them?

Hello JohnnyBehere,

You can search for assisted living right here on AgingCare.com. If you go to the link below you will see the "Find Assisted Living" box in the upper right of your screen within the blue box. Start your search here. Once you submit your loved ones city, state and care needs you can then speak to an experienced Care Adviser who can help you with any questions you may have.

I hope this helps.

It is a good option for families whose loved ones need help with the everyday living activities like meal, medications and many more. So you can find such type of services . I hope it will help you and your grandpa.

My parents (89 and 86) moved into an assisted living facility in September. I looked at 15 facilities before I moved them from my home into assisted living. Overall, it has been a good decision. They have adjusted and for the most part like having the dining room, the activities and other people around them. There are some downsides - I visit often and a lot of services that were promised have not happened. I have to follow-up with housekeeping, medicines, help with showers, etc. It has however, helped our relationship. I have gone back to being a daughter and not the only caregiver responsible for everything.
