Guess there are several songs entitled, "Born Free". I also liked Kids Rock.
Thanks for sharing your time with me, Jesse!

The fireworks seem like they are right out front! Stiil loud, 9:16 p.m. Doubt very much the drunkest, loudest revelers even know what the holiday is for!

Chipmunks rule!
"Glad to be an American, where at least I once was free!"
"O, Say can you see, by the dawn's early light"

The spirit is willing, Jesse, but the flesh is weak.

Looking up Born Free-I think Andy Williams sang that too! Or, was it the BOSS?

Just went on a spree listening to some of my favorite you-tube video songs. Ended it with Kid's Rock "Born Free." Song inspires me. I remember when it was true for me. What in the world happens as we get older that the spirit just gets so tame?

Jessebelle, Loving the Chipmunks rendition! In walks dH, says, can you even understand the words to the song? I belt out: "You've had a bad day!" as if I could understand the chipmunks lyrics, ha ha ha, and he says, "I don't like the Chipmunks!".

Wait til he hears the chipmunks sing, "Oh say can you see!" by the stars early light, happening NOW, 8:17 p.m. So. Cal.

Happy fourth, even if anyone is alone and lonely tonight!

I found it. The video said Andy Williams sings Gilbert O'Sullivans "Alone Again." It is the first I've heard of it by him. Cool.

Really, it is Gilbert O'Sullivan's song. Not Gilbert and O'Sullivan. Did Andy Williams do it, too? I never heard his version. I'll have to look to see if I can find it online.

It's okay Jessebelle! Just a quick sadness, dissipating even quicker, would never do that, but I feel better after singing that little ditty to myself. I imagine if Andy made it to elder-age, so can I. Maybe he just sang Gilbert and O Sullivan's song.

When I feel like that I balance it out with the Daniel Powter video "Bad Day."

Stompin Tom _ U Toob _ Up Canada Way

A cultural icon whose music is addictive. Despite it being somewhat sexist I like the 2007 video best, I think stompin Tom would have too.

Yes, Chari, movie lines are great, even if sometimes the movies are horror stories!
Although I have never watched scary movies, "The Terminator", "Whatever Happened to BabyJane", and "Arsenic and Old Lace" comes to mind. Lol.
Well, I did see that last one....

Thank you for being so kind and commenting during this difficult time.
Can you all hear those purse strings zipping closed? Who would have ever thought it was Peter Pan we should fear more than Captain Hook? And, I am not Tinkerbelle in that movie!

Hi Send. I Googled, "If you ever fall in love." It is lovely. I think the way you and your husband communicate with lines from movies is cute. It's things like that that keep a relationship unique and special. The only thing similar to it that hubby and I do is in a group of people, one of us will whisper to the other, "Are we having fun yet?" Usually we will laugh, and that is our signal to say our polite goodbyes and make a quick exit. If we didn't have that sign, one of us would probably stay forever, thinking the other was enjoying the event.

What I liked is that if you were worried about an elderly family member, your Jacquie Lawson account would let you see if they picked up the card.
Except, I warned them that others could see when they got the card (to protect their privacy rights) and that was the end of that!
I did love her works of art and interesting stories.

Send, I love Jacquie Lawson cards. Last on from auntie dearest at xmas about three years ago. It did mess up my computer, froze it. Auntie asked why I had not picked it up. Whether she believed it messed up my computer will never know.

Rembering Jacquie Lawson cards, GardenArtist! Used to love them, but my friends, not so much. They said it interferred with their computers, then stopped opening them at Christmas. I remember one where the choir boy was late as they slammed shut the church door, he belted out the song, alone, on the stairs. Animated cards were so wonderful.

River Monsters is a show on Animal Planet.. he looks into "monster stories" that are/may be some sort of unknown/local fish.. or monsters...that have harmed or taken people. They are always fish,, but the stories are so good! And these are fish you never WANT to see in your pond or river! He did one on Loch Ness.. he looks into history too. ( Check your messages gal.. I sent you a private one!)
