Find Care & Housing
My whole family sister, brothers, daughters, neices, nephews, cousins, aunties, uncles, step father and his family made up the idea that my mother had symptons of dementia. I always remember the time she cried out for help it was like an intense shriek but she had to do it quietly and I new then that what my entire family were doing was going to be the toughest fight to save my mum from there untoward way, please we must fight when our parents are not in that way . they drugged her so they could have there way with her said she didnt have dementia when they took her to the bank and then said she had dementia when they did not need to take her to the bank. My oldest daughter left her to small children in New Zealand and went to Australia to harrase her and her second husband and her and my brother kept putting her into a mental hospital, but still I saved her . she passed away and none of her own children came to her funeral or helped me to bring her bac from Aussie and none of her gdandchildren came just my son and my little daughter who was with me through out the whole time. what they all didnt realize that everytime they gave my mum to those kind of authorities they wrote everything down what she said and what they were all saying and her other way around all there deception was that we both wrote to each other from Nz to Aussie she that was her proof that she did not have that desease she was ashamed of what my brother was saying about her in Aussie and her sister who she thought was coming to see her ignored her and only talked to her husband even made out she lost mum hand bag because she went to the toilet when they were out shopping and her sister was training to be a nurse. my mum even had an autopsy and she was remarkable healthy she was 74yrs but look so much younger she always ate right and loved to be fit. I love her still big and miss her human being so much she fought for her right it got to a point where she was saying they dont treat me like a human being my mums story im going to write a book one day about what happened and she told me too. Look after all our elderly parents i did and i fought the fight and it was a good fight

I have learned that Alzheimer's disease has progressive and notable stages that can be seen and evaluated. Also the difference lies within the memory part of the brain and the extent of damaged caused to the memory neurons. My mom has dementia and there are times she is high functioning and shows no signs of this disease, other times she shows significant symptoms of reality and memory loss . Alzheimer's Disease does not regress. It may progress slowly but always progresses. Not necessarily so w/dementia.I was told that dem. patients cannot recover any permenant memory loss, but I have seen my mom recall the same memory she just perviously lost in a conversation by posing a question to her in a different way. Hmmm something to think about. I hope some of this can be of some use.God Bless.
