nursekate - are you a nurse? A friend of mine works for a hospital and he gets full health insurance for his whole family. Not sure if it's all paid for by the hospital, but it sounds like he doesn't have to pay too much if at all.

Many government jobs also come with free health care. Same with some really good companies.

You can contact an independent insurance agent for assistance in getting information and advice. There are many out there right now as we head into open enrollment. Also, those with certain incomes may qualify through the Healthcare Marketplace. They have reduced rates for those who qualify. They have a number you can call on their website.
