I’m still waiting for the LPN to contact me for a home visit/ evaluation and don’t know how long to expect after the entire process for someone to actually come out to take care of my grandparents.

Define “take care of”.

Hi Junk0505,
Your best source of info would be to call the agency who promised to send the LVN out.

This would be something to find out by calling your facility.
I don't know that you will ever be able to get someone to "come out and take care of my grandparents". I think you may have temporary weekly or bi weekly checkins by an LVN. If you need Social Services caseworker you may need to inform the LVN when he/she does come out that you require in home help, access to numbers to obtains, and etc.

Each state, each county, each township and indeed each medical facility has it's own rules and expectations. I would think if you do not hear anything within the first five days it is time to call your facility and find out what's up. I sure wish you the best.
