I am currently working with a agency that I absolutely cannot stand. I want to leave and start my own company. However, I noticed that a lot of companies with Medicaid/Medicare. Who do I talk to about partnering up with them so I can work with insurance companies such as them?

I don't know the answer to that at all. Hope others have something for you. But do know in any business of your own the licensing and the bonding, the governmental rules, and ESPECIALLY the insurance are going to be terrific. You would need quite the little nestegg to get this started. You might want to talk to someone who HAS already a business like this, and see if you can work for them and learn. I think you would be amazed at what all is involved, and there's no way you could both manage such a company AND be a caregiver. Just my humble opinion.
I hope that Burnt is around to give you an answer and any suggestions she may have.

Medicare does not ay for homecare like this. Medicaid has their own agencies they work with. You would need to be certified thru them. This is a big undertaking. You need to business oriented and know the laws. Burnt had 25 yrs experience before she tackled her own business. Another member has her own business or did. Hopefully they will be able to answer your questions.

By the way, you may want to read your contract with this agency. They may be able to sue you if you take a client away from them. The client too could be sued for dropping them and using you.
