How do you report an incompetent care facility who kept all funds provided after patient stayed only 4 days in facility

Find Care & Housing
The contract probably says that you must give 30 days notice before leaving. My Mom paid $2000, non-refundable, for just getting the room ready and first months rent. Just like renting an apt., you pay the whole months rent even if in the apt one day.

You don't say why the person left the facility? If they passed, that may be another matter. Again, read the contract.

I agree with Geaton. It is crucial that you read and understand the contract.
Do also know that most MCs are not highly regulated. No Federal regulation if they don't take federal money such as Medicaid. They are usually privately owned by corporations and hedgefunds because of the private pay policy and how lucrative they are. You can check on state licensing regulations and reporting for your state, but again, if they are within the rules and regs of what was signed, that pretty much is that.

You should thoroughly read the contract first. There is plenty of aggravation related to the cost of facility care and their policies!
