The person has to meet financial and care standards.
In some cases, family members can get paid to provide care, but it's not 40 hours per week and doesn't always include benefits.
The Department offers caregiver assistance services through various programs. The following are examples of programs that offer this service.
You may call the Elder Helpline at 1-800-96-ELDER (1-800-963-5337) to find out if you or your loved ones are eligible to receive benefits and services from one or more of our programs.

Community Care For the Elderly (CCE)
Home Care for the Elderly (HCE)
National Family Caregiver Support Program
Respite for Elders Living in Everyday Families (RELIEF)
Senior Companion Program
Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Long-Term Care Program
