By her the cigarettes. Keeps her happy. At 88 it probably is a good outlet for her.

☆I know this is months back... but, I definitely wouldn't allow her to smoke. I wouldn't want to cut her lifespan anymore than it already is, at this point.
It's an expensive habit and also, she has dementia..she shouldn't be doing anything that has to deal with Fire!:/
My mom, 80.. thought she had the oven on & had turned on the burner on the stove & didn't know it..& this was in the very beginning stage of dementia for her.
So, stop buying them, she'll get over it. Heck, after a while, she may not even remember she was a smoker.
Maybe buy her smoothies or fruit bowls or something healthy that she may enjoy instead.
If she starts out with throwing stuff at your car, park at the curb or even in front of the house next door. But, I would definitely stop buying her cigarettes. She's demented now and doesn't make any decisions or run anything anymore. You're letting a person with dementia tell you what to do!
It's over, you're the one in control and looking out for her well-being now because she can't do it anymore!
I hope everything is working out for you!♡

Buy the cigarettes. She is dying, dementia is fatal. Let her enjoy the time she has left.

She should be supervised when she smokes, though. You don't want her to burn her house down.

Don't buy her any eggs.
